TESTIMONIAL FROM RACHEL AND PAUL, PAST TENANT AT THE LOFTS ON 6TH AND 13TH AVENUE NE
Rachel and Paul, our awesome tenants from Lofts By 13th Avenue.
Please tell us about yourself. I am Rachel, an advertising professional working in the north loop. My partner, Paul goes to school at the U of M. This perfect spot in Northeast is ideal for our commutes.
How long have you lived in the property? One year.
How did other places you saw compare to this one? Other places were not as well kept and had an older feel. This apartment is clean and well maintained.
What was your first impression when you saw the place? My first impression was that we had to jump on the opportunity right away.
Considering the size, location, list of amenities, the grade and quality of the baths, kitchens and finishings, how well priced do you think the apartment is? The price is very reasonable for the amenities and the space. Northeast is a fantastic neighborhood and most apartments in this area of this quality are much more expensive.
(Editor's note: While nice Northeast buildings were renting studios for $1,200 (plus extra $85 for parking), this 2-bedroom open loft-style apartment was for rent at $1299. Our company mission is to provide affordable housing for young professionals and families.
In this case, we were thrilled to be able to provide housing to Rachel, a creative type and Paul, a future dentist (in dental school)!)
What have your friends said about the place after you moved in? Everyone has said great things about the apartment. They comment that the space seems very open and has a charm about it. With a guest bedroom, we were able to entertain guests which was a very nice treat.
How busy was it when you came to see the place? The apartment was full with interested prospects, it was a very competitive process to get the apartment. It was all worth it as we love the space and care from the Arts District Reality team.
(Editor's note: Rachel had researched our company and read the reviews. She contacted us and was so nice and pleasant that we agreed to meet at Spyhouse Coffee with her partner Paul so they can ask questions about the apartment and to pick up an advanced copy of the application. We must say she was very organized and knew exactly what her "wishlist" was. )
All of our places rent within 24 hours of coming available. What tips can you share to others to also get a place like yours (i.e. we acted fast)? Be confident in what you are looking for and what you like. If the place fits your needs, don't hesitate to sign and pay the deposit while present at the showing. You won't be disappointed.
What do you like most about the location? Please share some tips for new tenants. Northeast is the best! It's a unique, personal spot with a lot of character. We visit Northeast Social, Indeed, Dangerous Man, 331, and Anchor on a regular basis. It's a bike ride away from Hennepin, St Anthony, and Central - filled with more food, culture, and sites. It's truly my favorite neighborhood in Minneapolis.
Can you give us some example of management's commitment and professional service to maintaining and repairing the unit? The management has been very attentive and helpful. All maintenance needs have been addressed very quickly and all with quality service. It has been very comfortable and secure icing in this space due to the care of the professionals on the management team, like Philip and Anthony.
How would you describe management? The management is very helpful and attentive. When the power went out due to a wind storm knocking the power lines down, Philip stopped over that evening. He made sure we had flashlights and resources to get through the day of outage. We have been very pleased with the management.
Would you recommend Art District Realty properties to your friends? Absolutely! The properties are very unique, a best kept secret of Northeast!
(Editor's note: As a follow up to what Rachel said, she was nice enough to come to a showing of her apartment to give a current tenant's experience to the future prospective tenants. She answered questions onsite on various questions (i.e. the utility bill, heat in the apartment, availability of parking in the area and her experience with maintenance requests).
Thanks to Rachel's help, the prospective tenants promptly submitted their applications and rented the apartment that same day. They remain happy current tenants right now.)
