How long have you lived in the property? One year and 2 months
How did other places you saw compare to this one? Really, no other property compared to this one. It was absolutely perfect with fitting our needs in many ways; large, spacious rooms, outdoor living spaces, close proximity to Dangerous Man Brewing, The Ritz Theatre, Northeast Social Club, Anchor Fish and Chips, Modern Café and Erte to name a few. We love the fact that we can just go out our door and be within walking distance to all of these establishments.
What was your first impression when you saw the place? That this home has been well taken care of. All of the rooms were very clean, had freshly painted walls and the kitchen and bathrooms had beautiful new tile work. It was “Move In” ready! Considering the size, location, list of amenities, the grade and quality of the baths, kitchens and finishings, how well priced do you think the apartment is? Considering this is a 2 story, 3 bedroom, fenced in front and back yards, upper level walk-out balcony, basement with full laundry facilities we feel the price was a bargain! We could not believe we were getting all of the above for such a reasonable price. What have your friends said about the place after you moved in? We had recently sold our home of eight years in the Stillwater area before moving here to be closer to our son and family and to Dangerous Man Brewing, our son’s business. Our friends absolutely loved our Stillwater home, but when they saw our northeast “urban” home, they were pleasantly surprised at how warm and welcoming our new home was. They were especially impressed with how close we live to everything the city has to offer. They loved it!
How busy was it when you came to see the place? We were the only ones because when I first contacted Philip he told us about this property even before it came on market. We were very fortunate that we got to see it before anyone else.
All of our places rent within 24 hours of coming available. What tips can you share to others to also get a place like yours (i.e. we acted fast)? It was quite interesting how we found out about this property. We told our son we were interested in finding a location close to Dangerous Man Brewing Company. He began scouting out properties on the Art District Realty website and told us to check out the website. We did but the property we were interested in said NO DOGS. We ended up calling anyway and during our conversation with Philip Chan found out about this property that was not even listed yet. We were able to come within a few days to view the property and the rest is history!
Our advice, when you see a property listed with Art District Realty you are interested in, don’t hesitate to call because the property will be gone before you know it!
What do you like most about the location? Please share some tips for new tenants. We understand the saying, “Location, Location, Location.”
We are in awe how wonderful it has been to live so close to so much! We walk or bike everywhere. From our upper level balcony we can see the downtown Minneapolis skyline under the gorgeous canopy of a huge fifty year old Oak tree. Truly blissful.
Can you give us some example of management's commitment and professional service to maintaining and repairing the unit? From the day we moved in the management has done exemplary work and care of this property. We had to move out of our property in Stillwater sooner than expected.
The management made special arrangements to make our move in date sooner than expected. The management even hired “Satin Touch Cleaning” after the previous tenants moved out and before we moved in.
The management has gone over and beyond what we had asked or inquired about.
For example; hiring a handy man to come and do repairs on many minor things, responding in a most expedient manner while we were out of town when the furnace went out by providing many space heaters in rooms before the new furnace was installed giving much needed heat to our cat that was staying here alone, (After the furnace went out, the management brought us a gorgeous in-home electric fireplace to make sure we are never cold!) installed a new stainless stove and refrigerator.
They even delivered many bags of mulch to beautify the front and back yards. We have also received many flower arrangements from “Bloom and Buttercup” flower shop on Central Avenue.
Needless to say, the management has been more than generous in maintaining this property to make it feel like home.
How would you describe management? If all management/landlords were like this one, we would rent forever! We still feel like we are on vacation. “Your wish is our command,” is truly this management’s mantra!!
Would you recommend Art District Realty properties to your friends? Without a doubt! And with a resounding YES!!
