Please tell us about yourself. I am a graduate student working part time while attending school. I love NE Minneapolis and all it has to offer!
How long have you lived in the property? One year.
How did other places you saw compare to this one? Other places were more dated, less clean and more expensive. What was your first impression when you saw the place? My first impression was that this place was too good to be true! It had beautiful finishings and appliances, gorgeous hardwood floors and was clearly well-kept. Considering the size, location, list of amenities, the grade and quality of the baths, kitchens and finishings, how well priced do you think the apartment is? This apartment is a steal! NE is an up and coming neighborhood, and most apartments are priced well above the cost of this one.
What have your friends said about the place after you moved in? All of my friends have been extremely impressed with where I live. They love the newly remodeled look, hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, laundry and the location. Many are paying more for rent outside of the city, and they wish they could have found a place like mine at its price point before looking outside the city.
How busy was it when you came to see the place? When we toured the house for the first time, it was packed. We could barely move around because there were so many people interested in viewing the place. Thankfully, Philip was there to give us some personal attention and fill us in on all the great amenities provided.
All of our places rent within 24 hours of coming available. What tips can you share to others to also get a place like yours (i.e. we acted fast)? It was extremely busy the day I came to view the apartment. My roommates and I knew it was going to be a competitive process, so we acted quickly to secure our spot. We filled out the application at the house and wrote out a check for our deposit as well as first month's rent.
What do you like most about the location? Please share some tips for new tenants. We LOVE this location. It is perfect for everything. Some of our favorite things to do our walk to local breweries such as Dangerous Man, Bauhaus, Indeed, 612 Brew & Sociable Ciderwerks. We also checking out art galleries, local shops and restaurants (Anchor Fish & Chips, Erte, Modern Cafe and anything on Central Ave). Also, if you are a student there are a ton of quiet and fun cafes that are perfect for doing homework or meeting friends.
Can you give us some example of management's commitment and professional service to maintaining and repairing the unit? The management has been great at responding to service requests. Philip not only scheduled maintenance when we needed it, but he also went above and beyond by sending us monthly messages asking if there were any repairs/maintenance needed. He also made it a priority to make us comfortable by fixing small items like doorknobs/locks and adding a privacy film to our bathroom window.
We also had needs to extend our lease by one month, and the management was able to work with us to successfully do so, which was a huge help to us! We really appreciate all they've done to help us.
How would you describe management? The management is very friendly and approachable. We felt welcomed from day one, and even received flowers from Bloom & Buttercup from our landlord. The management communicated clearly and frequently through convenient avenues such as text and email. They responded promptly and made sure if there were ever an issue, it was fixed in a reasonable time frame.
Would you recommend Art District Realty properties to your friends? Yes, I would definitely recommend it to friends.
